MOTAT supply a variety of experiences to cater for all kinds of requirements. Below are some of the activities on offer:

An historic tram ride
The Araroa Tearooms are open for morning tea / lunch and afternoon tea

Birthday Parties

MOTAT provides four party themes to choose from:

Fly Away Aviator: Take to the skies as you create and decorate your own paper aeroplane, then take a test flight in our wind tunnel.
Crazy Science: Unleash your inner mad scientist, as you create slimy goop and explosive concoctions. Crazy science parties are intended for 7 years and up.
Firefighter: Become a hero for the day. Get dressed up for fun fire-fighting activities, before taking a ride on Little Flick (MOTAT’s mini fire engine).
Mad Hatter's Tea Party: Create your own wacky hat and get dressed up for a madcap tea party, complete with Victorian etiquette and more.

Parties include

Entry to MOTAT
Private party room for two hours
Trained party host
Voucher for a Tram ride

Parties run on Saturdays and Sundays only. $22.00 per child, accompanying adults are free. Minimum of 10 children, maximum of 20 children per party. Birthday Parties are for children turning 4 years and up.
