MOTAT wishes to thank you for your support by offering North Shore Residents free entry to MOTAT from now until 30 November!

 

Bring the ad (appearing in local newspapers) OR a voucher (available at your local library / service centre) OR proof of your address to MOTAT during this time and receive FREE* entry for you and your family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 16).

 

Open everyday 10am – 5pm.  All activities at MOTAT are also FREE with entry. 

 

*Free entry will ONLY be granted on presentation of a voucher, proof of address, or rates bill.

UNESCO Award

 

MOTAT’s historical Pumphouse, Beam Engine and Engineer’s Cottage have had a stunning success, scooping a 2009 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award of Merit for the Culture Heritage Conservation programme. 

 

The Waterworks buildings and Engineer’s Cottage are the only New Zealand buildings to have received the Award of Merit, announced at UNESCO Bangkok.
