Getting to MOTAT

Getting to MOTAT is easy! Just follow the below instructions or map. If you are still having difficulty call us on 0800 MOTATNZ (0800 668 286).

 

Cars:

Just head down the North Western motorway and get off at St Lukes Exit #6.

 

Buses:

Stagecoach buses with route 045 leaves Customs St, Downtown Auckland, approximately every hour on the hour up to 3pm daily and stops almost opposite MOTAT's main entrance on Great North Road. You can also catch the 042 and the 043 buses.

 

Taxis:

MOTAT is approx. 10 minutes away from Auckland City CBD.

 

 

 

 

 

 

MOTAT Meola Road Site
You may note on the map that there are two sites at MOTAT. Our second site, MOTAT Meola Road is home to the highly impressive Aviation, Military and Rail collections. This site is found between Meola and Motions Road, Western Springs. To get to the MOTAT Meola Road site, you can drive there or take one of MOTAT's historic trams (rides are included in admission fee) from the Great North Road site!
