Manuals
The manual collection includes a wide range of aircraft as well as aircraft components manuals. There are also a number of car, truck and motorcycle manuals. Farming equipment, other types of vehicles, tools, machinery and equipment form the early to mid-20th century are also included.

Oral History Archive
There are around 400 hours of recordings in the oral history archive. The interviews are grouped in themes, such as the history of MOTAT, aviation topics, life in the 1950s and telecommunications.
There are a number of interviews with former staff members and volunteers who have worked at MOTAT; they give an intimate and lively account of the development of the museum. There is also a collection of miscellaneous recordings of speeches and brief interviews relating to various artefacts which the museum holds.
