Sir Keith Park Memorial Aviation Collection

Marvel at some of the finest aircraft ever built! One of the most impressive exhibits of aircraft in Australasia, the MOTAT Meola Road Site displays the aircraft which have taken New Zealanders over land, ocean and into battle.

The Aviation Collection includes aircraft from New Zealand's Civil Aviation and top Dressing history. Two of the most notable aircraft in the collection are the only Solent Mark IV Flying Boat in the world and one of only a handful of WW2 Avro Lancaster Bombers in the world.

The Aviation Site is never short on knowledge. With around sixty dedicated volunteers, there is usually someone on hand if you have queries on the displays - especially on a Wednesday, which is Aviation's special day.  On the third Sunday of the month there are guided tours for those who would like to discover more about these magnificent planes and the stories behind them.
