Beam Engine Re-Opening Celebration - Saturday 19th April

On Saturday 19th of April 2008, MOTAT will be celebrating the completion of restoration on the Western Springs Pumphouse Beam Engine. After 80 years of lying dormant and 15 years of restorative works, we invite you to come and witness this grand old machine come back to life! Other engines and exhibits will be on site for this unique and momentous day.
 

The opening ceremony begins approx 12pm.


Tickets are $14 adults, $7 seniors and children under 16
(under 5s free), $30 family pass. Open 10am – 5pm.

 

Please note that trams will not be operating for the duration of the opening ceremony.

 

 

Parking at the Beam Engine Re-opening

Due to the expected large numbers of visitors to MOTAT for our special live day events, it maybe hard to find parking spots. Please consult the map below to familiarise yourself with the area surrounding MOTAT.

 

You can ride the trams as much as you want during your stay at MOTAT. Our trams run on regular half hour cycles each day.

 

Disabled Parking at MOTAT

Disabled car parking is available at both sites. Please call ahead to arrange disabled parking at MOTAT Great North Road. Call 09 815 5800 to speak to our helpful staff.
