We’re seeking someone to get stuck in right away for a fixed-term of 6 months, so previous cleaning experience is essential. You will work from Tuesday to Saturday and some level of flexibility is required to be present for events that may run at other times.
We are currently looking for an experienced Conservator who will provide plans and carry out a schedule of conservation treatments to support acquisitions and exhibition requirements. To be successful in this position you will have a relevant qualification in the Conservation of cultural materials, experience in conservation practice, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in your field. A current full driver’s license is required.
This is a part time role, 20 hours per week with the possibility of extra hours.
Senior Conservation Technician
The Senior Conservation Technician, under the direction of the Conservation Manager, will work closely with the Collection Technician's to assess and implement the necessary programs and procedures for preservation of the Museum’s collections. You will also be responsible for managing the conservation cleaning program for collections as well as managing the Conservation Technician – Cleaning. To be successful in this role you will have a Conservation qualification with 3–5 years’ experience in handling and moving museum collections. A current full driver’s license is required.
Conservation Technician - Cleaning (Part-time)
We’re looking for a Conservation Technician to carry out cleaning tasks following best professional conservation practice in a safe and secure manner. Our ideal candidate has a relevant conservation qualification or is working towards one with 2 years’ demonstrable experience working under a Conservator in a museum or professional setting. A full licence is desirable. This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
As a casual Educator in our Museum Experience team, you'll assist the team to meet LEOTC participation targets by providing additional ability to meet demand during busy terms. You will be responsible for the delivery of educational, interactive, and engaging school visit experiences and educational themes for all age groups including early childhood.
