  • Finance Manager

    We are currently looking for a self-motivated Finance Manager to lead all aspects of the MOTAT’s financial management, while continuing to be proactive about driving improvements for the business. To be successful in this role you will to have at least 3 to 5 years end to end financial accounting experience, ideally in the Public Sector, with a relevant degree and ACA or CA qualification.

  • Maintenance Team Member

    As Maintenance Team Member you will be part of the team working hard to ensure MOTAT is looking it's best for all who come through our gates. Providing general maintenance to buildings and across the site, you will have demonstrated experience from similar roles elsewhere. Full driver's licence required and forklift licence desirable.

  • Exhibitions Curator

    As an Exhibitions Curator, you will produce creative and innovative content for exhibitions, temporary displays and more, as well as manage a team of Exhibition developers and volunteers.   • Exhibition Technician

    As an Exhibition Technician, you will provide hands-on assistance to construct, install and maintain MOTAT's exhibition spaces and display items, including digital and audio-visual interactive elements. This role is great for someone with experience in building materials & techniques. This is a part time role with requirement to work one weekend day.   • Assistant Librarian - Pictorial

    As an Assistant Librarian, you will work on recording and cataloguing the pictorial collection. You will also assist with research enquiries that come into the Walsh Memorial Library from both the MOTAT Team and MOTAT visitors. To be successful in this role, you will need a demonstrated understanding of appropriate care and handling of pictorial items along with proven research experience.

  • Steam Operator

    MOTAT seeks a knowledgeable person to bring our steam exhibitions to life. You will operate the Pumphouse and other steam engines and boilers around MOTAT with the purpose of providing an exciting experience by demonstrating steam technology for our museum visitors.

    This role requires you to work Wednesday to Saturday between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with potential work on Sundays on an adhoc basis.

  • Conservation Technician

    As the Conservation Technician you will work with the Conservation team to assess and carry out support programs and procedures for the long-term preservation of the Museum’s Collections, including environmental monitoring, IPM, object cleaning and treatment. We are looking for someone with relevant qualification in Conservation and two years’ experience working in a conservation setting.
