A Guide to MOTAT
If you’re a first-time visitor to MOTAT, this guide will provide you with everything you need to make the experience as seamless as possible whether it is a family day out or a day spent with friends. As a working museum there are some terms and conditions of entry which visitors must follow.

We are open year round 7 days a week with the exception of Christmas and the annual Pasifika Festival. More information is here.

Your admission fee includes entry to all exhibitions at both the MOTAT Great North Rd and MOTAT Meola Rd sites and return tram trip between the sites. The admission benefits are in place year-round and apply during school holidays and special events, unless specifically stated otherwise such as during Halloween or Christmas. The MOTAT shops are located at each MOTAT site and stock a range of branded merchandise, as well as a variety of fun and educational toys, models and souvenirs. We have a great selection of aviation, rail and military themed models and books at our MOTAT Meola Road shop.
