SkillTree - Harvesting Tool Workshop

Flex your creative muscles and learn the tricks of the trade at a two-day prop design course with collaborative learning specialists, SkillTreeNZ. MOTAT is delighted to welcome the Hamilton based company back to the Museum. Over the weekend, students will learn key techniques in the art of prop making, with a selection of five different design plans to choose from, inspired by the popular game, Fortnite.

Prop designs include: The Tat-Axe, Death Valley, Bottom Feeder, Rainbow Smash or Tooth Pick. Learn fabrication, carving and sculpting foam, using a variety of materials, and paints. All materials, tools, and plans provided. Early registration is essential to ensure we have the materials needed for the event!

Course Materials
EVA Foam, XPS Foam, Acrylic Paint, Contact Cement, Rotary Tools, Hot Glue Guns, PVC Pipe, and a variety of other materials.

Age: Appropriate for 15+ | Cost: $300 + booking fee. | Time: 10.00am - 4.00pm
