BIG Easter Weekend at MOTAT – Cars, LEGO® and MOTAT Live!

Prepare to be revved up these school holidays with MOTAT!

MOTAT’s has a BIG Easter Weekend of FUN planned with the launch of the newest Holiday Experience ‘Car Crazy’, four exciting days of LEGO® fun and see MOTAT Live on the Third Sunday.  

From 18 April – 4 May 2014, we have carloads of fun interactive activities planned for the whole family to enjoy which include ‘Screamin Motors’, ‘Slot-Car Madness’ , ‘Jet Racer’ and MOTAT ‘Walk Of Fame’. It will be an essential day out for motor heads and their families these school holidays!

Located in the Discovery Dome ‘Screamin Motors’ will test your skills with a range of arcade style racing games set up so visitors can compete and challenge one another, competing to be the ultimate winner. Kids will also have a chance to play with slot-car sets in ‘Slot-Car Madness’ and ‘Jet Racer’ a build-your-own activity whereby visitors will design and build their very own balloon powered Jet Racer car - tracks will be available for visitors to race to see who can go further and faster.

Grab yourself a roadmap and complete the MOTAT ‘Walk of Fame’ to see the stars in our collection.   A self-guided trail across both MOTAT sites, visitors will view a selection of highlights from the Collection and the newest exhibition ‘Kiwi Stars and Cars’ that goes beyond the vehicles to highlight the stories behind the famous Kiwis that drove them and ‘Motor Nation’, the exhibition which explores Kiwis’ love of the motor car.

In celebration of the launch of THE LEGO® MOVIE in cinemas April 17, join MOTAT for four days of THE LEGO® MOVIEactivities and giveaways from 18 – 21 April. The Auckland LEGO® Users Group will be at MOTAT demonstrating from 10am daily and you can meet EMMET the star of THE LEGO® MOVIEat MOTAT on 19 & 20 April from 10 – 11.30am. So bring the kids down for an exciting day of LEGO® at MOTAT.
