Registry Assistant - Fixed Term
As Registry Assistant, you will be responsible for the effective processing of object data and object-related movements relating to acquisitions, loans, exhibitions, events, and internal storage relocation at MOTAT. Minimum one year's experience handling Museum collection items and a degree in Museum Studies or equivalent qualification essential. There are two fixed term opportunities available - one for eighteen months and the other for three years.

Collection Care Technician - Fixed Term
As Collection Care Technician, you will work with the Conservation team to assess and implement the necessary programs and procedures for preservation of the Museum’s collections. Experience handling Museum collection objects and a relevant qualification essential. There are two fixed term opportunities available - one for twelve months and the other for three years.

As a Casual Educator, you will be assisting the team to meet LEOTC participation targets by providing sick relief, and additional ability to meet demand during busy terms. Responsible for the delivery of educational, interactive, engaging and relevant school visit experiences and educational themes for all age groups including early childhood. Your experience as an educator/teacher and ability to adapt the needs of young children will be of great benefit in this role.

Volunteer Programme Administrator (Part-Time)
This is an exciting opportunity for a people person with strong admin skills to join a volunteer-centric organisation, where no two days are the same. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will work closely with MOTAT’s Volunteer Programme Coordinator and will be responsible for the coordination and administration of volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer programme administration. This is a part-time role (20 hours per week).

Senior Workshop Engineer – Rail Heritage
As the Senior Workshop Engineer you will be the technical specialist and senior member of the Collection hub’s Rail Heritage projects section. We are looking for someone experienced in heavy engineering with a relevant trade qualification that can demonstrate the ability to supervisor; train, coach, guide and support the team
As a Steam Operator at MOTAT you will operate the Pumphouse and other steam engines and boilers around the MOTAT sites, giving you a unique opportunity to bring steam technology to life in a way that will excite and entertain our visitors. Demonstrated experience operating steam engines and engaging with visitors/customers essential. Boiler Operator qualification an advantage but training provided. This is a Part-time role from Thursday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
