Experience Host (Casual)
We are seeking three (3) Casual Experience Hosts to join us at MOTAT. As an Experience Host you will be responsible for interacting and assisting MOTAT visitors to enhance their experience and discover the history behind our collections and displays. If you pride yourself on great customer service and genuinely enjoy engaging with all kinds of people, this could be the role for you. Must be available over school holiday periods.
Exhibition Maintenance Technician - Fixed Term
As an Exhibition Maintenance Technician at MOTAT, you will undertake the routine maintenance of exhibition spaces and display items. Working closely with the Exhibition Coordinator to assist with the building construction and fabrication to support MOTAT's exhibition programme, this is a very physical role in a small team. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate an ability to set up, maintain and repair exhibit components & installations. This is a fixed-term role, Sunday to Thursday, for three months to cover additional workload in the team.
As the Museum’s Conservation Manager you will responsible for the effective planning, management and documentation of the conservation, preservation, restoration and storage of the Museum’s Collection. We are looking for someone with a degree or other relevant qualification in Museum Studies, an understanding of appropriate conservation treatment of taonga and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
