1927-55: Back on the Streets
This was not the end for Tram 91. Repairs, including the replacement of the 5-window cab end with a contemporary 3-window configuration, were carried out and No. 91 re-entered service in March 1927. The photograph below shows the remodelled Tram 91 crossing the New North Road over bridge in Kingsland, full of rugby fans after the 1937 Springbok versus All Blacks test match at Eden Park.
