Life in New Zealand when the world was at war

The exhibition examines the impact the two World Wars had on New Zealand through the eyes of those who were left to protect the nation's shores.

You will be able to discover the methods New Zealanders used to communicate with loved ones overseas, and what they did from home to assist with winning the wars. You can also explore the imapact of the US soliders when they arrived in New Zealand during wartime.

This exhibition is housed downstairs in the building opposite the 'I Am The Last Tram' exhibition at MOTAT's Great North Road site.
