When parts no longer exist for some of MOTAT's trams, research is undertaken, photographs scaled or parts borrowed from overseas to create a new patterns. This bracket was cast from a pattern, copied from an original bracket borrowed from the Crich Tramway Village, Derbyshire England. The bracket is identical to the ones fitted to Auckland trams in 1902 (No.6 pictured), built by the Brush Electrical Engineering Co Ltd, Loughborough, England. Also being recreated are the tin Emergency Lamp boxes fitted with a kerosene lamp and reflector. Shown at the left hand front below the canopy. |
