Aviation Display Hall - Museum Experience Volunteers required

MOTAT is now looking for select volunteers to engage with our customers in our world class Aviation Display Hall. The primary focus of the current volunteer assignments will be to interact with our customers. You will provide a high quality customer experience and an engagement that will help our customers explore the stories and the people that are a part of New Zealand's aviation history.

What could you be doing?

Welcoming customers, conducting tours and orientation walks
Providing information and direction to customers
Exhibition and object story telling
Assisting with activities, exhibition events and object demonstrations
Meeting and greeting booked groups including those with special needs
Dressing in aviation costume and acting in character if required

Who and what are we looking for?

People with a passion for customer service, who can provide a memorable customer experience (prior experience desirable)
People with a sound knowledge of New Zealand's aviation history and/or previous aviation industry experience
Prior experience with public speaking (desirable) and an ability to gauge your audience's interest
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality
Ability to work as part of a team and to participate in regular training
Ability to commit to volunteer work on a regular basis

Tram Volunteers Wanted!

Do you love history and want to share it with our customers?

Then we want you!

MOTAT is looking for VOLUNTEERS to become involved in our Western Springs Tramway operation. We have a number of roles available, including tram drivers, conductors, workshop volunteers and more.

If you are customer focused, have clear communication skills and an outgoing personality then you're on track to volunteer with us! All training will be provided.
