The 2007 Military Weekend was held on the 24 and 25 March. The displays, the equipment and the people were even more impressive than in previous years, with the live action of horses, mock battles, vehicle rides, gun displays and helicopter ride making a great day out. The promotion material and schedule of events are shown below, together with pictures taken on the day. Well done to all those involved in arranging the weekend and we look forward to 2008's display. Come and experience war-time living at MOTAT!
Take a ride on a Sioux helicopter and other military vehicles, watch re-enactments of battles from World War I, World War II and Vietnam, enjoy the war-themed food and entertainment and a military style lolly scramble out of a mortar!
There will be a huge range of military vehicles on display so come and take a look at New Zealand’s military transport history.
Open 10am-5pm. Normal admission rates apply
